Julesburg Area Recreation
January 2011 brought about a new Recreation Program in Julesburg with Dennis Hill as the Director.Julesburg's goal is to provide various recreation opportunities to local communities including Julesburg, Ovid, Sedgwick, Haxtun and Holyoke CO and Chappell, Big Springs, Lewellen, Ogallala, Grant, Brule and Oshkosh, NE. The Program plans to offer several opportunities for Youth (1st – 6th Grades) including:football, volleyball, basketball, and soccer as well as aiding with the ongoing baseball/softball program.
The Youth Basketball League held in January and February was very successful with more than 200 participants.The Youth Soccer League is getting under way with 120 youth registered and games to be held in April and May.
Julesburg's goal is to add programs to provide a wide variety of activities for youth and considering adult programs as well.Website
